Review online submissions
When the client submits online, their answers appear in your review queue. Open the submission before the session and leave feedback if useful.
You can also leave written feedback on completed homework, so clients see that their effort has been read. Outcome measures, scored for you
Formulate includes 13 validated outcome measures, including the PHQ-9 and GAD-7. Assign them like any other homework, or set a measurement schedule — every session, weekly, fortnightly or monthly — and they are scored automatically the moment your client submits. Scores build into a trajectory on the client’s outcomes dashboard, with reliable change and recovery tracked against the NHS Talking Therapies thresholds, and you get an alert if a score crosses a severe threshold or worsens by more than the reliable change index. Understand how client information is handled
You organise clients using labels such as a code, and clients do not need a Formulate account to open assigned homework. Online answers may still contain sensitive personal information: using a label does not make those answers anonymous. Clients can choose a blank paper copy instead. Frequently asked questions
Do my clients need to download an app or create an account?
No. Assigned homework opens from a link in the phone’s web browser, without a client account. They can add a 4-digit PIN to their space if they share a device, and add it to their home screen if they like.
Can I assign a formulation as well as a worksheet?
Yes. The interactive formulations in the library are assigned the same way as any worksheet, so a client can work on their own diagram between sessions and you see what they added when it comes back.
What happens if a client would rather work on paper?
Before they start, clients choose whether to complete the worksheet online or download a blank PDF instead. If they choose paper, the homework shows as “PDF downloaded” on your side, so you know to bring it up in session.
