How much does Formulate cost?
There's a free tier with 10 worksheet uses per month, up to 3 clients, 1 AI generation, and 1 supervisee to try supervision. Starter is £4.99/month, or £3.99/month billed annually (£47.90/year) — unlimited use, 8 clients, 3 custom worksheets. Practice is £9.99/month, or £7.99/month billed annually (£95.90/year) — unlimited clients, 15 custom worksheets, supervision for up to 4 supervisees. Specialist is £19.99/month, or £15.99/month billed annually (£191.90/year) — unlimited everything. Annual billing gets you 2 months free (around 20% off). You can cancel at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — every new account includes a 14-day trial of the Practice plan, with no credit card required. During the trial you get unlimited worksheet use, unlimited clients, and the full Practice feature set. When it ends, your account simply moves to the free tier (10 worksheet uses per month) unless you choose to upgrade — nothing is deleted.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription from the Settings page at any time. You'll retain access to your paid features until the end of your current billing period. Your data is preserved — you can resubscribe later without losing anything.
What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your data is never deleted when you downgrade. Custom worksheets and client records remain in your account. If you exceed the limits of your new tier (e.g. more clients than allowed), you'll be able to view existing data but may not be able to create new assignments until you're within the limits.
Do you offer student or trainee discounts?
Yes — verified students and trainees get 50% off any paid plan. Create a free account, then verify with your university email address (ending .ac.uk, .edu, or similar) in Settings — it takes a minute, lasts 12 months, and you can re-verify while you're still studying. Once verified, student pricing is applied automatically at checkout and on the pricing page. The free tier (10 worksheet uses per month) is also always available.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards. Prices are in GBP.
